International Student Admissions

Here’s how the admission journey works for international students:
Check Your Eligibility
Start by confirming your eligibility with one of our Education Counsellors.
*A valid passport and your highest educational qualification are required for the first-round check.
Receive Your Letter of Eligibility (LOE)
Once eligible, you’ll receive a letter of eligibility for your chosen programme (valid for 7 days). To proceed, you’ll need to remit:
  • Application Fee: RM200
  • EMGS Visa Processing Fee: RM2,500
*Please note that the visa processing fee may vary depending on your country of origin.
(Tip: Submit your complete application at least 2 months before intake to ensure smooth processing.)
Offer Letter & Visa Processing
After payment is confirmed, we’ll issue your Official Offer Letter and submit your visa application through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). Visa approval typically takes about 2 months from the time we receive your complete documents.
Pre-Arrival Preparation
Once your visa is approved, you will:
  • Apply and obtain a Single-Entry Visa (SEV) for travel to Malaysia.
  • Make payment for your initial fees before departure.
Post-Arrival at MILA University
On arrival in Malaysia, report to our International Visa Unit for:
  • Verification of your original academic certificates.
  • Passport submission for visa endorsement (visa sticker).
  • Medical Screening within 3 days of arrival.
  • Orientation & Registration Day, where you’ll complete subject registration and join the induction programme.
(If you miss Orientation Day, don’t worry, your counsellor will guide you through the process separately.)

International Student Reporting Day

Check-in And Document Verification
Report to our International Office – Visa Unit with:
  • Your original academic documents for verification.
  • Your passport for visa endorsement (1 month process)
  • Be ready for a medical screening within three days of arrival.
Orientation And Registration Day Attendance
  • It is mandatory to attend the Orientation/Registration Day specified in your Offer Letter.
  • Fill in and submit the Course Enrolment Form (CEF) on your Registration Day.
  • Students who are unable to attend Orientation Day will be offered personalised one-on-one assistance.

International Student Exchange
Facilitates inbound and outbound exchanges, allowing students to study at MILA University for a semester or a year while gaining cross-cultural experience.
Inbound Study Tours
Coordinates tailored study tours to Canada and China combining academic enrichment with cultural immersion, giving participants a holistic experience of Malaysia and MILA University.
English Enhancement Programme (EEP)
Offers specialised English courses focused on IELTS components to strengthen communication skills and academic confidence.
Edutourism
Designs innovative programmes that merge education with travel, showcasing Malaysia’s higher education, research, and culture to international participants.

Application Requirements

Application requirements may vary depending on the programme and host institution. Generally, students will need to prepare:

  • Academic transcripts (to demonstrate eligibility and academic standing)
  • Valid passport (with sufficient validity for the duration of the programme)
  • Visa documentation (as required by the host country)
  • Additional documents such as letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, or proof of language proficiency may be requested for certain placements.
