Nilai, Negeri Sembilan – December 2025 – MILA University marked a significant milestone in academic excellence and international collaboration. Faculty member from School of Engineering & Computing, Prof. Ir. Dr. Tiu Zian Cheak has recently completed an international academic engagement visit across Greater Bay Area, including Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, and the Macau University of Science and Technology.
Advancing Knowledge Through International Guest Lectures
During his engagement, Prof. Tiu delivered guest lectures at each host institution, where he shared in-depth insights into ultrafast photonics, dark-pulse fiber laser dynamics, and the integration of emerging optical and two-dimensional materials in advanced photonic systems. These sessions fostered active academic exchange with distinguished faculty members and postgraduate researchers, featuring lively discussions on current research challenges, experimental methodologies, and future directions for collaborative research, joint publications, and graduate training in photonics and optical engineering.
