MILA University Welcomes Delegation from Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Indonesia

Strengthening global connections through academic collaboration and exchange

Nilai, Negeri Sembilan – 27 April 2026 – MILA University recently welcomed a delegation from Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), Jakarta, Indonesia, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen global engagement through academic partnerships and international networking.

The visit reflects a shared interest between both institutions in building meaningful collaborations that enhance learning opportunities, research initiatives, and cross-border academic exchange.

 

Strengthening Global Academic Collaboration

The visit forms part of MILA University’s broader initiative to expand its international presence through structured partnerships and inbound engagements with global institutions.

Representing MILA University were Dr. Jenny Yang Juanjuan, Acting Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Wong Siew Fong, Assistant Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Ranking), alongside key members from the university’s international and student engagement teams.

The delegation from Universitas Negeri Jakarta was led by Dr. Karta Sasmita, Vice Dean of Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs, and was accompanied by senior academic representatives from the Faculty of Education and the university’s international office.

 

Exploring Opportunities for Future Collaboration

During the visit, both institutions engaged in discussions to identify areas of mutual interest and potential collaboration.

Key areas explored include the potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), as well as opportunities for research collaboration and academic mobility programmes. These initiatives are expected to support knowledge exchange, joint research efforts, and student mobility between the two institutions.
