Overview
Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to excel in the field of accounting. This programme provides a strong foundation in the fundamentals of corporate accounting and accounting systems, and is partnered with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and is recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
Objectives of Bachelor of Accounting (Honours)
- Develop a solid understanding of core accounting concepts, such as financial reporting, financial analysis, and managerial accounting.
- Acquire practical skills in accounting software, financial modelling, and auditing techniques.
- Cultivate problem-solving and critical thinking skills to analyse complex financial problems and develop effective solutions.
- Gain exposure to related fields, such as economics, management, and law.
- Prepare for a career in accounting or related fields, including auditing, taxation, and financial analysis.
Eligibility Criteria
ENTRY LEVEL | ENTRY REQUIREMENT APPROVED BY MOHE |
STPM | Pass with a minimum of Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any two subjects AND Credit in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM or its equivalent |
A-LEVEL | Pass with a minimum of Grade D in any two subjects AND Credit in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM or its equivalent |
STAM | A pass in STAM with at least Grade Jayyid AND credit in Maths and a pass in English at SPM level |
UEC | Pass with a minimum of Grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics and pass in English at SPM or its equivalent |
MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION | Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, or any equivalent qualification; AND a credit in Maths and pass in English at SPM or its equivalent |
DIPLOMA | Pass Diploma in A ccounting or r elevant field w ith minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00; AND a credit in Maths and a pass in English at SPM or its equivalent |
OTHERS | Any other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government |
Local Students : MUET Band 2 International Students : Required minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS or its equivalent |
