Bachelor in Computer Science (Honours) (Cyber Security)
Programme Overview
This programme is designed to prepare students for careers in computer science with a focus on cybersecurity by providing strong foundations in programming, networks, and security technologies. Students will learn to apply theoretical knowledge through practical training in ethical hacking, penetration testing, digital forensics, and cloud security. They will also develop problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills essential for protecting digital assets. The students will gain the expertise and hands-on experience needed to excel as cybersecurity analysts, ethical hackers, digital forensics specialists, or security engineers in diverse industries.
- Industry Connected Careers
The programme offers a structured curriculum in Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking, Digital Forensics, and Cloud Security, with hands-on training and internship opportunities. Accredited by MQA, it prepares students for high-demand, well-paid careers in cybersecurity. - Real-World Experience
Students gain practical exposure through industry projects, hackathons, lectures, exhibitions, and research collaborations, ensuring learning extends beyond the classroom into real-world problem solving. - Global Exposure
Opportunities include overseas study and exchange programmes with partner universities. This exposure strengthens global awareness and career prospects. In addition, industry-linked certifications through partnerships such as Huawei ICT Academy, students gain both credibility and connections that matter. - Future-Proof Skills
The curriculum equips students for emerging fields, fostering lifelong learning, adaptability, and leadership, producing graduates who are innovators, problem-solvers, and future technology leaders.

Progression Pathways
Graduates of the Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) (Cyber Security) can progress to postgraduate studies by coursework or research, such as:
- Master of Computer Science (by coursework)
- Master of Science in Engineering (by research)
While MILA currently offers progression in these areas, graduates are also well-prepared to pursue advanced studies in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, software engineering, and other computing-related disciplines at universities locally or internationally, providing flexibility to specialise further and advance careers in cutting-edge technology sectors.
