Programme Overview

This programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and creativity needed to excel in today’s fast-evolving mass communication landscape. Students will explore a wide spectrum of disciplines, including Broadcasting, New Media and Communication Technology, Graphic Design and Animation, Journalism, Public Relations, and Advertising. This programme prepares graduates not just for a career, but for a future full of opportunities in the dynamic and ever-changing world of media and communication.

Progression Pathways

Graduates of the Bachelor of Mass Communication (Honours) can progress into:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Conventional
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Open & Distance Learning (ODL)
  • Master of New Media and Communication Studies – By Coursework
  • Master of Science in Business – By Research

Entry Requirements

STPM Pass with a minimum of 2 subjects at Grade C (GPA 2.00) and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent
STAM Pass with a minimum of Grade Jayyid and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent
MATRICULATION/

FOUNDATION

Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent
UEC Pass with a minimum of 5 related subjects at Grade B including English
CERTIFICATE Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent
DIPLOMA Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent, OR Diploma in Media and Communication or its equivalent
DIPLOMA KEMAHIRAN MALAYSIA (DKM)

 

DIPLOMA VOKASIONAL MALAYSIA (DVM)

Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subject to HEP Senate/Academic Board approval. 
OTHERS Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
