Programme Overview

This programme is designed to prepare students for technology-driven careers in Mechatronics by providing a strong foundation in mechanical systems, electronics, computer control, and software engineering. Students will learn to apply theoretical knowledge through hands-on laboratory work, industrial placements, projects, and exposure to robotics, automation, CAD/CAM, and Industry 4.0 technologies. They will also develop critical skills in communication, ethics, entrepreneurship, and project management. The students will gain expertise, practical experience, and problem-solving abilities needed to excel as automation engineers, robotics specialists, systems designers, or manufacturing engineers in diverse industries.

Progression Pathways

Graduates of the Bachelor of Mechatronics Technology (Honours) can progress into postgraduate programmes by coursework or research.

They are also well-prepared to pursue further studies or research opportunities in automation, robotics, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and industrial technology fields at universities locally or internationally.

STPM Pass with a minimum of two (2) Grade C including Mathematics and one (1) relevant Science subject
AND pass SPM or its equivalent with at least a pass in English
UEC Pass with a minimum of five (5) Grade B including Mathematics and one (1) relevant Science subject
AND pass SPM or its equivalent with at least a pass in English
A-LEVEL Pass with a minimum of two (2) subjects including Mathematics and one (1) relevant Science subject
AND pass SPM or its equivalent with at least a pass in English
MATRICULATION/ FOUNDATION Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
AND pass SPM or its equivalent with at least a pass in English
DIPLOMA Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
