Progression Pathways

Graduates of the Master of Business Administration (ODL) or related business/communication master’s programmes can progress to doctoral-level studies, including:

  • Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) – (ODL)
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business – By research

Alternatively, graduates may pursue advanced doctoral or research opportunities at other universities, locally or internationally, in areas such as business, media, communication, digital innovation, or management, allowing specialization and career advancement in academia, consultancy, or senior executive roles.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in the related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate;

OR

A Bachelors degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a rigorous internal assessment;

OR

A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate, subject to having relevant working experience and rigorous internal assessment;

OR

* A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses;

OR

Others Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
