With over thirty years of educational experience, Dr. Shanti Nair is a respected figure in the field. Her journey includes roles in government schools, private universities, and corporate settings. As the current Head of the Centre for Language Studies at MILA University, she excels in using task-based methods to improve English skills and workplace communication.
Dr. Nair’s professional journey showcases her flexibility and unwavering commitment. Moving from prominent positions at private educational institutions to active involvement in the semiconductor sector, her expertise is evident. Beyond leading language initiatives and instructing English for Professional Communication and Business English, she has excelled across various responsibilities, including production planning and curriculum coordination.
Her current research interests lie in higher education leadership, learning innovation, and student engagement. She is particularly focused on the impact of leadership practices, project-based learning, and self-directed learning models on teaching quality, learner motivation, knowledge retention, and lifelong learning outcomes in tertiary education
