Biography

Nurul Huda Abdullah is a dedicated academic with over a decade of experience in civil engineering education, specializing in geotechnical engineering. She is a research-driven academic in the field of Civil Engineering, with specialized expertise in Geotechnical Engineering, Rock Mechanics and Geophysics. Her academic roles have also encompassed supervising undergraduate research and contributing to program accreditation and curriculum enhancement efforts. In addition, she was recently appointed as an External Advisor for the Diploma in Construction Technology program at Kolej Vokasional Juasseh.
Her primary research interests lie in the integration of geophysical methods with geotechnical site characterization, particularly in seismic-based approaches for evaluating rock mass behavior. She has published several articles in indexed journals and conference proceedings, reflecting her commitment to applied research and knowledge dissemination.
She has also been actively involved in externally funded research, including a site investigation project at MAHSA Hospital using seismic refraction methods. Her commitment to advancing geotechnical research is supported by her professional affiliations with a graduate member of BEM, IEM, a Professional Technologist under MBOT and active member of the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM). Her work bridges academic theory and engineering practice, contributing valuable insights to both the scholarly community and the civil engineering profession.
